Spicy guides · Spicy stories · Real places
Every city has a side the tourism board won't show you. Ali Imperiale goes there first, then writes the guide: the history, the venues, the etiquette, sorted by how spicy you want your trip to be.
The 2026 guides
Each guide is a PDF field guide, $15. Next on the map: Berlin, Lisbon, Barcelona.
Choose your spice
Spicy doesn't mean one thing. Maybe you just want the culture and a great nude-sauna recommendation. Maybe you're kink-curious. Every guide uses the same five levels, so you go exactly as far as you want.
| Spice | What it feels like | Good starting point |
|---|---|---|
| ●○○○○ Sensual | Romantic, body-positive, low pressure | Nude sauna, boudoir shoot |
| ●●○○○ Cheeky | Playful adult entertainment | Burlesque show, drag night |
| ●●●○○ Exploratory | Learn and participate | Tantra workshop, erotic hypnosis |
| ●●●●○ Kinky | Fetish community, dress codes on | Rope class, fetish club night |
| ●●●●● Lifestyle | Explicitly adult social spaces | Swinger club |

Who's writing
I'm a Canadian nomad and sex educator in training. Bike tours and food tours are great, but every time I travel I also dive into a city's spicy side: the history, the events, the workshops. A naked spa, a burlesque show, a fetish party, a couples massage. You learn as much about a culture there as on any walking tour. These guides are what I wish I'd had.
